What is P channel in MOSFET?

P-Channel MOSFETs are a type of Metal Oxide Semiconductor Device. This comprises of the n-substrate in the center with a high concentration of light doping. The three terminal devices are as follows. It has unipolar properties since the majority of the charge carriers are required for its operation.

Why N channel is better than P-channel?

Electrons, which are carriers in an n-channel device, have greater mobility than holes, which are carriers in a p-channel device. As a result, an n-channel device outperforms a p-channel device. For the same device area, the N-channel transistor has lower on-resistance and gate capacitance.
